Reasons for delay in Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean update in India
Samsung has offered two different versions of the Galaxy S II smartphones - GT-I9100 and GT-I9100G. The latter model - GT-I9100G carries an overclocked Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 processor with PowerVR SGX540 graphics chip. Though the processor speeds of both the processors are practically the same, the PowerVR SGX540 falls short in front of the Mali-400 graphics chip in the GT-I9100 model.
Due to the two different versions of the Galaxy S II models being made available in India update is delayed
How to Update Galaxy S2 to Jelly Bean ?
It looks like you need to plug your Galaxy S2 into your computer and access the Jelly Bean update via Kies. The update will not show up in the Settings > About phone > Software update > Update option on the handset.
Since Android 4.1 is an open source software you can update yourself before Samsung officially introduce it. But this will void your phones warranty. So kindly wait till update come
